Physical Therapy

We went to Kendyl's first physical therapy session today. It was actually so much better than I thought it would be. I thought it was going to be painful and there would be tears, but there weren't!!

Our therapist was GREAT too!! We will be going 3 times per week for 4 weeks and then see where we are at that point. That will be right before school starts so hopefully everything will go well.

We go again tomorrow, Friday, and I hope it's just as good as today -- meaning, no tears! A girl can dream...

She's writing the ABC's with her foot in this picture. CUTE!

Showing us exercises to do at home to stimulate her muscles.

They did electrotherapy to stimulate the nerves and muscles.

Her foot is very swollen from falling off her crutches too because she is hyper-sensitive because of the severe muscle atrophy.

My poor baby!

But she still has her big smile - ALWAYS!!  :)

  1. Kendall's positive outlook will help her recover fast. She managed to give a big smile despite the pain while undergoing physical therapy. By the way, did the therapist give a duration on the therapy?

  2. She’s behaving like a champ! Did the swelling go down quickly after the cast was taken off? I hope that didn’t cause any additional problems with her recovery.
