Photo Dump

Here's what we've been up to lately.
We got the clearance from the doctor to go back to Dance a few weeks ago!! Yay!!

Kendyl is doing awesome but still struggling with putting pressure on her leg that was broken.

At our last physical therapy session, they took measurements of her leg she broke and it is still 1 centimeter smaller than the other one. 1 centimeter of muscle takes 6-8 weeks of physical therapy, 3-4 times per week to build back up.  So we still have a ways to go.  But we're getting there, slowly but surely.

During Thanksgiving break, Kendyl and I went to see Frozen while daddy was at work. Such a cute movie!! We want to see it again! We've been quoting it all week.

At Kendyl's last teeth cleaning and check-up, they told us it was time to see the orthodontist.
I've never seen anything like this! A teeth brushing station, video games, movie theatre, popcorn...
...and the view!
She'll be in braces within the next 3-4 months.

And here's what Nick has been up to...
Nick got into Kendyl's lunch.
And wrapped her backpack
Not nice!
He switched all the pictures in the picture frames and changed the backgrounds on all our computers to pictures of him!
Then fell asleep in Kendyl's bed with a note that says "Please do not disturb. I need a nap."

We have a busy busy weekend. Christmas party, American Girl Brunch with Santa, an event at the Skeeters Stadium with Santa and his reindeer and our annual Girl Scout Hayride.  Can't wait!!
Have a great weekend!!

Christmas Book Advent: Our New Christmas Tradition

I saw this on Pinterest last year but it was too late to start so I've been planning all year for this year's New Christmas Tradition.

Wrap 24 Christmas/winter themed books and open one each night leading to Christmas and read it at bedtime!! Genius!! We already read a book together every night all year 'round, but how much fun to open a present every night and be surprised with a new book to read!!!

We actually started on Thanksgiving night and Kendyl and I are both excited when it's time to find out what book we are reading that night.

I chose all easy books, not chapter books. And let me just tell you how fun it has been collecting books! I can't stop! I want to buy every book I see!

I really hit the jackpot by buying a bundle of winter and Christmas books from! I got 12 books for $20!!  And all the grocery stores have tons of Christmas books right now. It's not too late to start -- you still have 20 days left!!

And look at this idea!! I'm definitely doing this next year!! Absolutely adorable!
Instead of chocolate wrap up all your christmas books and films then let your kids open one each night during advent. Such a fun tradition which the whole family will LOVE!

Something great to do with your kids or grand kids for Christmas season. Buy 25 books, wrap them and place them near the tree with a fluffy blanket and stuffed toy to cuddle with. Every evening they get to take one of the books and open them and you spend some time reading to them and cuddling.

Have a great day!!

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

As soon as Thanksgiving dinner was over and the last guest left, I had Matt bring down all my Christmas decorations -- my favorite time of year!

It takes me about a week to get everything up. Tree #1 is done, still have tree #2 to go. And the Christmas Village (which may not make it up this year).

My sweet Miley
On Sunday, we went to a friend's house for "Cookies with Santa." We had so much fun seeing old friends we hadn't seen in a LONG time!

When Kendyl was 13 months old and I quit working to stay home with her, we joined a playgroup. This is our playgroup 7 years later!! We met once per week at each other's houses for nearly 4 years! Once Kendyl started kindergarten, we only saw each other on birthdays. Then eventually, that faded too. Then we saw everyone yearly at "Cookies with Santa." Last year Kendyl was sick and we didn't go and the year before that, we were busy -- so we haven't seen everyone in almost 2 years!! This was a special day and I love this picture of them all together again!
In other news, Nick surprised us today with a "Countdown to Christmas" chain link.
Our little Nick is so much fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

We had a great time this year! We had Thanksgiving at our house again this year with a record 14 adults and 5 kiddos! The house was packed!

Kids Table
Super cute turkey cupcakes Kendyl made
The girls sang Christmas songs for us
Chloe LOVED their performance!
And our elf, Nick, is back!
And he's up to his crazy antics again this year!!
So far, he has caused a lot of havoc...
He wrapped our tree with toilet paper...

Little stinker!
And made a mess in the kitchen, but made some delicious pancakes for us...
Love his cute little apron!
And took a joyride on our ceiling fan!!
This one made me laugh hysterically!
Can't wait to see what else he gets into this year!
Have a great day!!
